Great site. I've visited it quite a few times now.
I'm very much into surf fishing and basically use Abu
Garcia reels, though I also use a Penn 525 mag. I'm in the
market for another reel (Abu) but it seems you have so many
models it's hard to decide on which 6500. I have two 6500C3's and thought I'd like to try a C4. Do you offer it without the thumbar? I surf fish for stripers on Lonb beach Island, NJ. I use a 11'9' Breakaway and 10' Lamiglas. Any suggestions for getting way out past the bar?

the best information i have come across yet when it comes to fine tuning reels. "prices aint to shabby either." we have miles of beach to fish here at the padre island national seashore; http://www.nps.gov/pais/home.htm a big mako was caught of the beach at the 40 mile marker. i use ambassadeurs to catch all the small ones out of the surf. spanish, jacks, reds, tarpon and trout. anyone headed this way from hatteras email me.
